How to Watch IPTV on Windows PC & Mac
Your computer makes an excellent IPTV player, especially for testing a subscription quickly or watching at a desk. Windows and macOS both support several free players, and VLC — which most people already have installed — can play an M3U playlist with no additional software at all.
What You Need
- Windows 10/11 or macOS 10.14 or newer
- 10 Mbps for HD, 25 Mbps+ for 4K playback
- An active Atlantic IPTV subscription or free trial
- Your M3U URL or Xtream Codes credentials
Recommended Apps
- VLC Media Player
- IPTV Smarters Pro (Desktop)
- MyIPTV Player
- Kodi
Installation Steps
- 1
Fastest method — VLC Media Player
Download VLC free from videolan.org and install it. Open VLC, then choose Media → Open Network Stream on Windows, or File → Open Network on macOS.
- 2
Paste your M3U URL
Paste the M3U playlist link we sent you on WhatsApp into the network URL field and click Play. VLC loads the full channel list into its playlist panel — press Ctrl+L (Cmd+L on Mac) to display it.
- 3
Better method — IPTV Smarters Pro Desktop
For a proper TV-style interface with categories, VOD and EPG, download the IPTV Smarters Pro desktop application for Windows or macOS and install it normally.
- 4
Log in with Xtream Codes
Open the app, choose Login with Xtream Codes API and enter your username, password and server URL. Live TV, movies, series and the program guide all load together.
Configure Your Subscription
- 5
Enable hardware acceleration
In VLC open Tools → Preferences → Input/Codecs and set Hardware-accelerated decoding to Automatic. This dramatically reduces CPU usage during 4K playback.
- 6
Increase the network cache
Still in VLC, switch Show settings to All, open Input/Codecs → Advanced and raise Network caching to 3000 ms to eliminate stutter on busy connections.
- 7
Save your playlist
In VLC use Media → Save Playlist to File so you can reopen your channel list instantly without pasting the URL again.
